Investment philosophy
The fund invests in Far Eastern shares (not including Japanese). Investments are diversified across different countries and industries.

Target group
The fund is typically designed for investors seeking to invest in Far Eastern equities as a supplement to other investments. Investors are aware that ISI Far East Equities is a growth equity fund that concentrates its investments in areas where high growth is projected. Investors are also aware that this fund is one of ISI’s most risky funds and that price fluctuations may be very large and that there may be periods of negative returns. As a result the value of your investment may have declined if you suddenly need the money. The typical investor has an investment horizon of at least five years and is not looking for annual dividend payouts.

Reasons to invest in ISI Far East Equities
Economic growth often leads to equity price increases. The growth expectations of the majority of countries in the Far East are positive.

Three factors in particular make investments in Far Eastern equities attractive:

  • High growth and high company earnings.
  • Far Eastern currencies are undervalued and therefore we forecast that exchange rates will strengthen compared with Western currencies
  • Increased confidence in corporate finances and sovereign economies results in declining risk premiums, ie investors are increasingly willing to pay higher prices for Far Eastern equities.

Investment horizon
The recommended investment horizon is a minimum of five years.

Your advantages

  • Your savings are pooled with many others and you win economies of scale on eg transaction costs.
  • You obtain significant risk diversification as each ISI fund invests in multiple securities. The result is a lower price risk and more stable return when comparing with similar investments in individual shares and bonds.
  • Your securities savings are managed by ISI's investment experts. They monitor share and bond markets daily, they analyse and obtain information. Careful asset management increases your potential of achieving excellent returns.
  • You can choose from 9 different funds and compose savings tailored to your needs and preferences.
